Who am I?

I represented my country in cricket and hockey. I scored 121 on my debut against India :) . Who am I?

Shortest Test Match

The shortest test match, with a result, in the history of cricket took place between Australia and South Africa. It was the final test of the 1931-32 series. South Africa scored 36, 45 in their first and second innings respectively. Australia(153) beat South Africa by an innings and 72 runs. The match lasted 109.2 overs. The next shortest test match was between West Indies and England in 1934-35. It lasted 112 overs.

A Rare Incident

It was one of the rare incidents that happen in cricket. A cricketer died after being hit by a ball on the head. Raman Lamba, the former Indian cricketer, died at the age of 38 when he was hit hard by a ball. He was fielding at forward short leg without a helmet during a club match between Lamba's club Abahani and Mohammedan in Bangladesh. He was hit so hard that the ball rebounded to the wicket keeper. He died three days after this incident. Sachin Tendulkar made his test debut in 1989 when Lamba was in the national team.
George Summers(Nottinghamshire) and Abdul Aziz(Karachi wicket-keeper) were the other two cricketers who died as a result of on-filed injuries.

The First Post

The much awaited Border-Gavaskar trophy between India and Australia is about to begin in less than two weeks. The focus of the tour will be on
  1. The big four (Sachin, Dravid, Lakshman and Kumble) of India
  2. Greg Chappell's role
  3. How Australia faces the spin duo(Kumble & Harbhajan)
  4. Spirit of the game
Well, here is a small question.
When was the first test match between these two countries played?
